About Omar
Omar Farooq leads NexLab's AI and Machine Learning division, where he manages a team of data scientists and ML engineers focused on delivering intelligent solutions that go far beyond proof-of-concept.
With a background in computational neuroscience and a Master's degree from Carnegie Mellon University, Omar brings a unique perspective to AI development. He has published over 15 papers on topics including attention mechanisms, multi-modal learning, and safe reinforcement learning.
Omar's team has built custom AI solutions ranging from autonomous customer service agents handling millions of interactions to predictive maintenance systems monitoring industrial equipment in real time. He is particularly passionate about Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), fine-tuning open-source LLMs, and creating AI systems that are transparent and explainable.
